A wonderful design inspired by a 1901 Hungarian woven wall hanging by Sarolta Koválszky & now housed in the Museum of Applied Arts, Budapest. The original design is very much in the form of the later Arts and Crafts Movement pieces from Europe, with bold colors and uncomplicated forms. The quote which frames the image is by an unknown wit, but seems to strike a chord with all cat lovers. It reads "There are many intelligent species in the universe - all of them are owned by cats."

This is a marvelous design for any level of stitching experience. If you want, you can always stitch the cats to mimic the markings of your own beloved furry friend!

The tapestry measures 9.75" x 22.5" (25cm x 57cm) and is worked on 12 gauge canvas with Anchor tapestry wool.

Kit contains printed Zweigart (12hpi) tapestry canvas, Anchor wool, black and white symbol chart, needle and instructions.
